Painted Lady Properties Inc. is a privately owned real estate investment company located in rural Gays Illinois. Our company has rental homes and apartments located in Mattoon, Shelbyville, Gays, Windsor and Decatur Illinois. We also on occasion have homes for sale.

We also restore Victorian homes. In 2008, PLP restored the Livingston C. Lord home at 838 7th street in Charleston Illinois. Lord was the first President of Eastern Illinois University at Charleston and lived in the home from 1903 to 1933. By 2008, the home had slipped into disrepair and was slated to be demolished. Painted Lady stepped in and saved her from the wrecking ball. The home was sold in 2010. Historic preservation is important to us and that is why it is so important to us to protect our legacy through preserving Victorian homes.
